Terry Thomas is a powerhouse saxophonist and bandleader whose sound fuses the heart of gospel, the soul of R&B, the fire of funk, and the edge of blues. As leader of All U Need, Terry has crafted a signature style that blends live saxophone with DJs, drummers, and cutting-edge music technology—delivering performances that are as electrifying as they are soulful.
Over the years, Terry has shared the stage with gospel greats such as Chester D. T. Baldwin, Norman Hutchins, Yolanda Adams, Anthony David, DJ Cut Creator, Kim Waters, Meli’sa Morgan, Michael Ward, and Althea René and has opened for legendary acts including Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, The Manhattans, Chaka Khan, Boyz II Men, Leela James, After 7, Al B. Sure!, Lyfe Jennings, Montell Jordan, Carl Thomas, Fingerprints, Michael Blackson, Earthquake, and Ali Sadiq among others. His ability to move effortlessly between gospel stages, jazz lounges, R&B showcases, corporate galas, and festival crowds highlights his versatility and wide-reaching appeal.
Terry and his band All U Need have performed for numerous corporate and community events, including engagements for IBM, 3M, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., the African American Leadership Institute, and the Austin Area Urban League. He also frequently collaborates with Premier Entertainment - Austin DJs and JDS Entertainment, providing dynamic live saxophone performances alongside elite DJs for upscale weddings, galas, and exclusive nightlife experiences.
A proud milestone in Terry’s musical journey came on Thursday, February 5, 2005, when the Mayor of Austin officially proclaimed “All U Need Day” in recognition of the band’s outstanding contributions to the city’s social, economic, and cultural diversity.
